Welcome
Welcome to our Temple
Nestled in the sunny hills of Glendale, California, this temple is a branch of Self-Realization Fellowship, the international nonprofit society founded by one of the preeminent spiritual figures of our time — Paramahansa Yogananda.
We warmly invite you to attend our program of inspirational lecture services, meditations, and other activities, and learn more about India’s age-old philosophy of Yoga and its time-honored tradition of meditation, presented in the soul-illumining teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda.

International Day of Peace
Paramahansa Yogananda has said “Peace is the altar of God, the condition in which happiness exists.” September 21 has been declared the International Day of Peace, a day devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace, both within and among all nations and peoples of the earth. Members of the Choirs of Glendale, Hollywood and Lake Shrine Temples joined together for the first time with our SRF community to celebrate a call to peace and to send out thoughts of love and goodwill to all mankind.
Thank you for your donations
We deeply appreciate and welcome your support of the Glendale Temple. Your gift enables us to fund the vital services and activities that we offer to our members and larger community, and to maintain our sacred facilities.
“Self-realization is the knowing — in body, mind, and soul — that we are one with the omnipresence of God; that we do not have to pray that it comes to us, that we are not merely near it at all times, but that God’s omnipresence is our omnipresence; that we are just as much a part of Him now as we ever will be. All we have to do is improve our knowing.” ~ Paramahansa Yogananda
