Six Hour Meditation with Kirtan Chanting
This Saturday we will hold a long meditation beginning at 10:00 a.m. and concluding at 4:00 p.m. There will be an intermission at 1:00 p.m. If you cannot be stay for the whole day, please plan to attend the first period of meditation so as not to disturb the peace of those who will already have been meditating for several hours. Long meditations provide a unique opportunity to leave behind all responsibilities and to focus wholeheartedly on our search for God. We hope you can join us.
The meditation service is conducted by a leader who will guide you through periods of silent meditation for 30–50 minutes in length — separated by short periods of devotional chanting and inspirational readings.
The kirtan chanting is conducted by the Glendale Temple Kirtan group who will guide the service through periods of devotional chanting and beautiful instrumental music.
